Tender Manager

Heerema Fabrication Group (HFG) is an independent operating company within the Heerema Group. We specialize in the production of large and complex steel constructions for the offshore industry, such as jackets and templates for major offshore wind farms. Due to our organizational growth and increased production, we are looking for a Tender Manager to join our team.

For our Yard in Nieuwdorp we are looking for a

Tender Manager (1.0 fte)

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Tender Manager to lead the management of proposal processes, driving business development strategies, and ensuring the successful acquisition of projects in close collaboration with the Commercial Manager. This role involves overseeing the commercial, strategic, and risk components of tenders, while maintaining alignment with organizational goals and ensuring compliance with budget, schedule, and safety requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Partner with the Commercial Manager to align bidding vision with business strategies;
• Lead the preparation and submission of high-quality, competitive proposals for tenders.
• Develop strategies to optimize tender processes and ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
• Collaborate with internal teams to gather necessary technical, planning and financial inputs.
• Accurately calculate cost estimates for projects.;
• Work with the Purchasing Department to request and review pricing and specifications from suppliers and subcontractors;
• Prepare/support for customer-oriented quotations;
• Continuous refine calculation and analysis models to increase accuracy and relevance;
• Assisting in variations of work;
• Ensure seamless and precise handover of tender documentation to the project management team.

Education and experience:

• A completed HBO or WO education in a Technical field (Mechanical Engineering, etc.);
• At least 3 years of experience in a Tender Manager role, preferably in a production environment;
• Experienced in drawing up cost estimates;
• Experience with software packages such as Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel.

Skills and properties:

• Skilled with 2D and 3D CAD drawings;
• You have an entrepreneurial mindset, take ownership and are result oriented;
• Good command of English language (written & verbal);
• You are stress resistant;
• You work well independently, but you also feel good about yourself in a team;
• Accurate.

Location and contact details:

You will work at the yard of Heerema Vlissingen in Nieuwdorp.
