Process Engineer at DOW

What’s your job about?

• Applies Global Project Methodology (GPM) and Process Engineering Work Process Discipline.
• Ensures that the project scope is well defined and meets the business needs in a cost effective manner.
• Ensures that the process design is safe, meets DOW LPP’s and other EH&S requirements.
• Drives project execution within their discipline.
• Provides input to project schedule and plans, then monitors progress against the plans.
• Ensures process design deliverables meet the needs of the project including functioning as intended, on time and within budget.
• Identifies technical problems both within designs and existing operations. Appropriately engages the business and functional
• technology center and the subject matter expert network to resolve.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Ownership of production equipment unit at all levels ensuring optimum processing
• Understanding and maintaining subsystems of both mechanical and electrical nature
• Contributing to defining experiment parameters. Using statistical analysis to perform design of experiments
• Developing, planning and executing process engineering for the production of a broad range of materials
• Collecting and analyzing data. Generating reports to communicate results
• Operationally focusing on improving processes and product quality, yields, cost and performance
• Facilitating product development from research to manufacture
• Performing regular equipment cleaning and maintenance to avoid cross contamination of material

What skills do you have?

• A Bachelor or Master Degree in Chemical Engineering
• Excellent command of the English language
• You have a VCA-VOL certificate or are willing to obtain one.
