CHIEF OFFICER II/2

Seacontractors has and will grow considerably via new buildings and acquisition of a variety of 50-, 70- and 120-tonnage vessels. Therefore, we are looking for an Chief Officer to strengthen our fleet.

As a Chief Officer you will be working in a team of 4-6 crew members. You are able to perform your watch keeping and navigational duties independently on the bridge, sail the vessel as well as hands-on activities on deck. Due to the diversity of our scope of work, projects and sailing areas, no trip will be the same. Currently we are hiring for a chief Officer II/2 with a genuine interest in our line of work.

You are preferable experienced, or willingly to learn maneuvering, anchor handling and towing skills.

Responsibilities will be preparing sailing plans, navigation and watchkeeping.

Your support to the master and crew is indispensable. Work is carried on in varies sailing area’s such as Nort-West Europe and Africa.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Valid NL CoC
• Valid STCW-documentation and medical health certificate
• Preferable experienced, or willingly to learn maneuvering, anchor handling and towing skills.
• Capable of preparing sailing plans, navigation and watchkeeping.
• Hands-onmentality
• Good communicative and administration skills.
• Fluently Dutch and English in word and writing.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum of 1+ years working experience with a similar or affiliated working field.
• Sailing experience on AHT and/or MPV vessels is a plus.
• MBO/HBO education level with a relevant Nautical education.
• Interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels both internally and externally in both Dutch and English language.
• Administrative skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
