Customer Service Agent - Christmas

Join our Customer Service team and contribute directly to our goal of making people happy and help our customers find the perfect Christmas gifts. Not only will you gain valuable experience, but you’ll also enjoy a fun and festive work environment. 

If you live abroad, this is the perfect opportunity to work remotely or stay for six weeks (with other colleagues) in the YourSurprise Guesthouse right in the center of Zierikzee! You will even get a YourSurprise bicycle at your disposal, how cool is that?!

This is a temporary position just for the Christmas period (week 46 until week 1 2025), so don’t miss out on this exciting opportunity!

 

What will you do?

You will ensure that our customers' expectations are exceeded every time. You have a hands-on mentality and just get really happy from contacting our customers. We can put your skills to good use when it comes to:

  • speaking to our customers neatly, smoothly and personally via different channels;

  • finding the ultimate mix between advising, inspiring and handling complaints;

  • answering all kinds of questions, handling different types of complaints and advising customers on finding the right gift;

  • making effective decisions that make our customers want to come back to us.

 

Where do you end up?

You will become part of our Customer Service team, YourSurprise's listening ear. This international team consists of 40-60 colleagues working both on Campus and remotely. These colleagues are in contact with customers from 28 different countries via phone, email and chat. The team provides support in 10-15 (native) languages and is ready to help customers with questions, give advice and solve problems in a personalized way. Everything they do is based on our mission: Spread a Little Happiness. Whether colleagues work from Zierikzee or remotely, they ensure that all customer feedback is shared internally with various teams. This allows us to continuously develop and take our service to the next level.

 

Who are you?

  • you speak and write Dutch or English fluently, besides your own native language you master another second foreign language, such as: Dutch/ English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Danish, Finnish or Norwegian;

  • you have strong experience in Customer Service;

  • you are available for a minimum of 24 hours during week 46 to week 1;

  • you are available at least 1 evening a week and once a week a day at the weekend;

  • you are flexible about your work days, we can always talk about which days you want to work;

  • you switch effortlessly between different means of communication;

  • you are positive, sociable and dare to make your own decisions;

  • you are eager to learn and are able to pick up things quickly.

Please note that you must be available for interviews and for onboarding in week 46.

Recruitment Process: the first interview is followed by the second interview combined with a test day, which takes place on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons.
