THE ROLE

Damen Naval is currently seeking a dynamic Senior HR Advisor to join our team and play a pivotal role in shaping our HR strategies and initiatives. As Senior HR Advisor you will provide strategic, tactical, and operational HR support and advice to managers across the organization. Your primary focus will be on developing, implementing, and coordinating HR initiatives that align with our organizational goals and foster a positive working environment for our employees.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

As Senior HR Advisor, your responsibilities will include:

• Co-developing and implementing HR strategies, policies, and initiatives aligned with business objectives.
• Driving organizational changes in line with Damen Naval's key objectives.
• Supporting managers in recruitment and development activities to meet current and future business needs.
• Monitoring and intervening in HR strategies, systems, tactics, and procedures as necessary.
• Overseeing performance management processes and ensuring optimal tool utilization.
• Identifying and retaining talent within the organization and contributing to succession planning.
• Developing and executing HR policies and procedures for international operations, including expatriation.
• Monitoring HR administration for temporary staff in compliance with legislation and regulations.
• Acting as a case manager for long-term absenteeism cases.
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of HR processes and knowledge transfer within the department.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

To excel as Senior HR Advisor, you should have:

• Master or Bachelor degree in HR Management or a related field.
• At least five years of relevant international HR experience, preferably gained in construction, production, shipbuilding, or a related large manufacturing industry.
• Knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and management principles.
• Ability to work in Vlissingen, The Netherlands.
• Excellent command of both Dutch and English, both written and verbal.
• Excellent references antecedents as a pre-employment security screening is standard part of the recruitment procedure.
• Permanent EU citizenship and passport are both required and candidates with NL/EU (work) visa or with both an EU and non-EU nationality and/or passport are not eligible in accordance with the requirements imposed by the military nature of our projects.
